Swalek told Anuchit that she was bringing food for the dog after an unsuccessful attempt to bring the dog home to live with her. She tells Anushit that when she brought the dog home, he just ran away and went back to the area where she found him. Sawalk also informed Anuchit that the dog, whom locals called Leo, had been hanging out in the same area for four years. 

 Surprised, Anushit decided to post a photo of Leo online and see if anyone recognized the dog. Surprisingly, a man named Noe saw the post and came forward to say the dog was his and it was called BonBon. Bonbon had escaped from Noe’s car at a gas station in 2015 near where he had been patiently waiting for four years.

Although BonBon was very excited to see Noi, he learned along with Saowalak that BonBon/Leo was no longer a pet and preferred to stay in the area he was beginning to call home. Noe swore to visit him frequently and Swalak and other locals would continue to nurture and feed Leo

The boy is currently homeless, so he knew he couldn’t support the pup any longer. But now, the dog is heartbroken. After hearing the boy’s story, many people in the community were touched. Since the boy lives in a small town, getting back on his feet will be tricky. But many individuals have offered support to the boy and his dog if he’s willing to accept help. Doing the Responsible Thing The boy and his dog were living under a bridge in Senatobia, Mississippi. The dog named Jada is a four-month-old Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix who had been with the boy since she was a tiny pup. The two have a strong bond, but the boy gave her up to the Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter because he couldn’t care for her. 

 He walked Jada all the way to the shelter and gave them a garbage bag filled with her food and blanket. Even though the shelter was at capacity, they knew they couldn’t say no. They kept Jada in the main area of the facility, but she became miserable as soon as her human left. 

After the boy left, Jada plopped on the ground and moped. Someone at the shelter took a photo of her lying there beside the garbage bag with her stuff. They shared the image on social media, and people instantly felt heartbroken for Jada and the boy. 

 Community Steps Up Someone will foster Jada while law enforcement looks into the situation. Ever since the shelter mentioned the boy’s predicament on Facebook, several people have offered help. Some people claimed they could house him and his dog, and others were willing to help him find a job. A local church also offers temporary shelter and food to those who need it. 

 Currently, the shelter has been unable to reach the boy, but he has several options for assistance if he’s willing to take it. Robinson believes his decision to surrender Jada was very intelligent. He could’ve easily abandoned the dog, but he went out of his way to keep his four-legged family member safe. “I think that boy has a lot more integrity than a lot of people around here who dump animals and puppies when they can’t take care of them,” Robinson said. 

 The shelter said they will update followers if they hear from the boy or gain more information. But for the time being, Jada will be receiving the best care possible. Hopefully, she and her human will be reunited soon.

For instance, the discovery of flint tools beneath the ancient river sediments in Pakefield, Suffolk, indicates human activity around 700,000 years ago, marking one of the earliest sites of human occupation in Northern Europe. 

 The artefacts left behind in these caves and sites are testament to the ingenuity and adaptability of Paleolithic humans. Aveline’s Hole has been recognised as the largest Mesolithic burial cemetery in Northern Europe, dating from 10,200 and 10,400 B.C. It is estimated that the cave served as the final resting place for around sixty individuals. Flint tools evolved over millennia, growing more sophisticated as humans developed new techniques for crafting weapons and implements essential for survival. The discovery of hand axes, scrapers, and spear points illustrates the technological advancements of the time. Perhaps the most evocative insights into Paleolithic life come from the rare occurrences of art and burial. While Britain’s cave art is not as prolific or well-preserved as that found in continental Europe, sites like Creswell Crags offer evidence of these early expressions of human creativity and spirituality. 

 Similarly, the ritual burial of the “Red Lady of Paviland” (actually a young man) in South Wales, adorned with red ochre and buried with artefacts, underscores the cultural complexity and emerging spiritual beliefs of Paleolithic peoples. 

 As the Paleolithic era drew to a close, Britain’s landscape underwent dramatic transformations with the retreat of the last glaciers. The warmer, more stable climate of the ensuing Mesolithic period fostered new ways of life, leading to significant changes in human habitation and culture. 

 Mesolithic Era The Mesolithic Era, or Middle Stone Age, spans from the end of the last Ice Age, around 11,700 years ago, to the dawn of the Neolithic period, approximately 6,000 years ago in Britain. This era heralds a time of significant environmental transformation and human adaptation to a rapidly changing world. 

 As the ice retreated, it sculpted the landscape, creating a rich mosaic of habitats. Forests of birch and pine, followed by oak, elm, and hazel, spread across Britain, transforming it into a largely wooded landscape. This new environment offered abundant resources, leading to changes in the way people lived.

The axe was brought to Britain by people from one of the earliest farming communities around 4000 BC, which gives us a date of 6000 years old. This beautiful axe is in the Wiltshire Museum, Devizes. The Mesolithic communities were hunter-gatherers, exploiting a wide range of food sources from this verdant landscape. They hunted deer, wild boar, and smaller mammals, fished in the rivers and seas, and gathered nuts, fruits, and other wild plants. Star Carr in North Yorkshire 

Their tools, crafted from flint, were small and refined, including microliths—tiny blades and points that could be hafted onto wooden shafts to create arrows and spears—reflecting an adaptation to a more specialised hunting and gathering lifestyle. 

 The warmer conditions of the Mesolithic encouraged a greater human presence in Britain, and evidence of their habitation is found in the form of campsites along rivers and lakes, where the waterways provided both a source of food and a means of transport. Sites such as Star Carr in North Yorkshire have yielded rich archaeological finds, including the remains of dwellings, wooden artefacts, and ceremonial items, offering insights into the social and spiritual lives of Mesolithic peoples. 

 Mesolithic Communities These communities were highly mobile, moving seasonally to exploit different resources, but the detailed reconstruction of their camps suggests a degree of permanence and investment in certain favoured locations. 

 The social structure of Mesolithic communities is thought to have been egalitarian, with a fluid hierarchy that allowed for the sharing of resources. Artifacts such as beads and pendants, often made from animal teeth, shells, and amber, suggest personal adornment and perhaps the expression of individual or group identity. Silbury Hill, located in Wiltshire, England, and part of the complex of Neolithic monuments around Avebury, is largely made of chalk. It is the largest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe and was constructed around 2400 BC. The discovery of burial sites and ceremonial caches of objects indicates that ritual and ceremony played a significant role in Mesolithic society, hinting at belief systems that honoured the dead and perhaps sought to ensure fertility or success in hunting. Prehistoric Britain The landscape of Britain was not yet an island in the early Mesolithic, with a land bridge connecting it to the continent. This allowed for the movement of peoples and animals between what is now Britain and mainland Europe. 

 However, rising sea levels eventually severed these connections, creating the British Isles and leading to a degree of isolation that would have influenced the development of distinct cultures and technologies. 

 As the Mesolithic period progressed, the continued warming of the climate and the development of more complex social structures set the stage for the next great leap in human history: the advent of farming and the transition to the Neolithic era. The Mesolithic, therefore, represents an incredible period of adaptation and change, laying the foundations for the sedentary lifestyles and complex societies that were to follow. 

 Neolithic Era The Neolithic Era, signifying the transition from a nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyle to one marked by agriculture and settlement, began in Britain around 6,000 years ago. This transformative period introduced farming to the British Isles, dramatically altering the landscape and the way its people lived, worked, and organised their societies. They started to make a marked impact that we see today. The size of Celtic fields can vary, but they are generally smaller than modern agricultural fields. Some Celtic fields are just a few acres in size. The legacy of the Neolithic is still visible in the landscape today, through the monumental stone structures that continue to fascinate and the deep-rooted agricultural practices that shaped the countryside. As such, the Neolithic period represents a pivotal chapter in the story of human habitation of the British Isles, marking the dawn of a new way of life that would set the stage for the further developments of the Bronze and Iron Ages. Bronze and Iron Ages 

 The Bronze Age in Britain, commencing around 2500 BCE, heralded a new era of technological innovation and societal complexity following the Neolithic period.  Appearance of Hillforts The landscape of Britain was further transformed by the Bronze Age practice of creating ceremonial landscapes, including stone circles and alignments, which continued from the Neolithic. But suddenly, Dongsuk refused to eat. After a while, the woman noticed that Dongsuk was acting strangely. She would only take food if it was in a plastic bag. Otherwise she would just stand there while the other cats ate, no matter how hungry she was. So, the woman began preparing a bag of food to give to Dongsuk each day. As soon as she received the bag, Dongsuk would take the bag carefully in her mouth and run away. The woman began to wonder what Dongsuk was doing with the food she received, and decided to follow her one day. 

 It was then that she realised that Dongsuk wasn’t taking the food for herself. She was taking it to her kitten. Only a few weeks earlier, Dongsuk had given birth to five kittens, but tragically only one had survived. The surviving kitten looked just like her mom, with the same orange and white fur. Dongsuk carefully opened the bag and let the little one eat until she was full. Then Dongsuk would eat. The woman was so moved by Dongsuk’s maternal love that she felt she had to do something to help them.

 It was a long road of hopeful tail-wagging in the direction of potential adopters, but the day finally arrived, and this black-and-white doggo couldn’t hide his happiness! Major And His Brother Saved From Being Euthanized

When rescuers with Animal Angels Rescue Foundation (AARF) first saw the dog now named Blythe running around they couldn’t tell what sex he was or if he had two eyes. They filmed the poor dog lumbering around scrounging for food. AARF shared in a post on Facebook on Mar. 19 that someone in their community reached out to them about Blythe and thank goodness they did because Blythe was not doing well.

He went immediately to the vet and he was so severely dehydrated they put him immediately on fluids. 

“After his sedated shave and bath and nail trim and anal gland expression and thorough exam and bloodwork and fecal, vaccines, he was weighed at 15 pounds,” AARF revealed. “Immediately he felt better, after all carrying all those heavy mats was tiresome and they hurt. The mats were so bad, you couldn’t tell his gender until after his shave…He was miserable.” The poor fellow, estimated to be around 2 years old, had urine burns and his back teeth were a mess from whatever he had been “munching on outside” because the teeth were cracked and broken. But thankfully he went into dental surgery to have them removed a few days after his rescue. But first, he went to his foster home where he just couldn’t stop smiling. “He was a little scared and confused leaving the vet today but once he went into his foster’s home and met the other dogs and kids, that smile on his face is permanent,” AARF said, sharing pictures. 

“He is one very happy kid! I’m sure he is relieved never having to live outdoors like that again…” Now neutered and free from the painful teeth, Blythe is looking forward to a pain-free life. “We are so very proud of him and how he is adjusting after all he’s been through. The resilience of a dog,” AARF wrote. The rescue group said he will be available for adoption when he is ready. 

They also are asking for donations given Blythe’s care was expensive. “We know times are tough and if you can spare anything, we would so appreciate it and if you can’t, will you share? Making things even worse, the man was let off the hook by the police because he claimed “self defense,” a claim Harmon disputes. “He did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn,” the Law & Order actress wrote. 

She also said her Ring doorbell camera was charging inside so she has no video of the incident, “which he saw & then knew he wasn’t being recorded.” Harmon added that the man was “shopping under a woman’s identity named Merle,” and posted a screenshot in her Instagram stories. “The driver told officers that a dog attacked him while he was at the residence and that he defended himself by firing a single gunshot, striking and mortally wounding the dog,” the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Public Affairs told People. 

“Another dog was present at the residence but did not attack.” Instacart also released a statement to the outlet, saying they were “deeply saddened and disturbed to hear about this incident.” “We have no tolerance for violence of any kind, and the shopper account was immediately suspended from our platform. We have been in direct contact with the customer and are cooperating with law enforcement on their investigation.”

Meanwhile, Angie Harmon and her family are mourning the tragic loss. “We are completely traumatized & beyond devastated at the loss of our beloved boy & family member,” Harmon wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of her late dog. “To the man who took Ollie away from us: your actions are despicable and inexcusable,” she added in her Instagram stories.

A Facebook post from the Missouri Department of Conservation detailed the event, where the Missouri Stream Teams, Beyond Housing, and local community members were assessing sites for a cleanup project and stumbled upon an unforeseen discovery amidst the debris. Encased within a black plastic garbage bag amidst the refuse, a small puppy had been left, an act of cruelty that was fortunately intercepted in time by the compassionate individuals. 

The encounter was serendipitous, affirming the belief that animals find us when it’s meant to be. Among the crew, one individual, Stream Team Coordinator Brian Waldrop, was especially touched by the plight of the puppy found in such a dire situation.

Recounting the experience to FOX 2 St. Louis, Brian expressed immediate affection for the puppy, “I was just down on my knees, picked him up, and fell instantly in love,” he shared. For Brian, encountering a dog in such a manner was a first. 

Despite the unusual circumstances of their meeting, he felt an immediate connection and made the decision to adopt the puppy himself, believing it was fate. Once home, a bath transformed the puppy from a seemingly yellow to a pristine white coat, showcasing the puppy’s endearing nature and soft fur, as described by Brian to FOX 2. 

While still contemplating a name for the dog, with suggestions like “Hefty” being floated around due to the circumstances of their meeting in the Hefty trash bag, Brian has affectionately been calling him “Dude.” Thanks to the clean-up crew and Brian’s willingness to provide a forever home to the puppy, this story ended happily!

“Growing up, I was not very ‘girly’ and hadn’t ever dreamt of a wedding like most little girls did, but I had dreamed of Bear being a part of my wedding, in a little red wagon, since I could remember,” Cat told The Dodo. 

 She met her husband Jimmy in 2011, and Bear remained an important part of both of their lives. So as they were preparing to say “I do,” they knew they had to fulfill Cat’s longtime dream and have Bear be part of the ceremony. But Bear has been getting up in years, and the now-17-year-old dog has suffered some health problems lately. 

And just before the couple were scheduled to get married last month, Bear was hospitalized due to kidney disease. Just when it seemed that Bear would not be able to attend their wedding, the couple made a heartwarming change of plans. “I asked Jimmy if he thought we should get married at the vet to ensure Bear would be there with us,” Cat told The Dodo. “His response was, ‘I’d marry you any day, any time.’” The couple ended up exchanging vows at VCA Veterinary Emergency Service & Veterinary Specialty Center, where Bear was being treated. According to a post from the vet’s office, they held a ceremony in a waiting area with family and friends in attendance. 

 Photos shared by the vet’s office give a glimpse of the sweet ceremony: Bear, still a little groggy due to his medical treatments, rests in a red wagon, just like Cat always dreamed of. The back of the wagon says “I loved her first.” Photos also show Cat’s tattoo honoring Bear, which says “You’ll be with me wherever I go” over a paw print — a sentiment proven true on her wedding day. 

Thankfully, Bear was discharged from the vets office two days after the ceremony. The vet’s office said that Bear was now “home getting all the love and snuggles from his favorite (newlywed) people.” It also meant that the couple was able to go ahead with their originally-scheduled wedding ceremony, with Bear by their side, along with the couple’s other dogs.

The couple told The Dodo that Bear’s health has since taken another unfortunate turn, but they are doing their best to get his health back on track. They also said that despite his ailing health, he seemed to perk up on their wedding day. “Following the ceremony, Bear actually got up and walked around outside, which he hadn’t done in days, and he walked a lot!”

I find it impossible to think that I would ever want to harm an animal. Moreover, I find it incomprehensible that someone could find any kind of enjoyment in doing this. Having said that, I believe dogs possess a sixth sense that allows them to distinguish between good and bad people. 

 People who work with animals will know how important it is to provide a neglected animal the opportunity to initiate contact. It’s normal to want to play and stroke a dog to reassure it that you are not dangerous, but this isn’t always the best course of action. 

 Some people simply cannot comprehend the possibility that a dog who has endured abuse could be taken aback by an unfamiliar person. Hours from now, Edie, a mixed-breed abandoned dog, would be put to sleep. It had been a very long time since anyone had shown her any concern, and she was afraid of people. She was seriously undernourished, and her fur was a mess. 

 To give Edie another chance, you had to be a true animal lover. It’s challenging to see the first segment of the video. Edie is so terrified that she is at a loss for what to do. She feels that this man is a menace, so she shakes her entire body and barks to get rid of him. Ultimately, though, the man in the video manages to grab Edie and prevent her from fleeing. Now he can get close to her. 

 After then, the establishment of a trust agreement happens quickly. Edie starts to realize that he is there to support her rather than to harm her. The instant she knows she won’t be put down anymore is practically visible.

  Recently a woman spotted a group of boys carrying a bag, which she realized contained three orphaned baby rabbits. She overheard them talking about hurting the rabbits, and stepped in to intervene. She took the rabbits away, and put them in the care of the RSPCA. Luckily, all the bunnies were safe and sound. “The kits are about 4 weeks old and are eating and drinking well so I’m hopeful that they will survive and be able to be released back into the wild soon,” RSPCA inspector Krissy Raine said in a press release, according to The Dodo. 

 Then, something incredible happened: the little bunnies seemed to show them a sign, cuddling together in the shape of a heart:

It’s as if the bunnies knew they were safe from danger, and found a way to thank the rescuers for saving their lives. We hope these bunnies get to return to the wild soon!
