This woman from Kamloops in Canada, went out for a walk when witnessed a sight, she may never forget. It was nearly noon when Allison Burton spotted a massive wild cat casually walking down her street. An adorable lynx took over the way just as it was a catwalk.

It was a sunny day, so the street was far from empty, but the majestic feline did not seem to be bothered at all. On contrary, she even struck for some stunning poses while she quietly kept her way. Naturally, an unusual sight like this could only turn heads of everyone.

“Honestly, he didn’t care about anyone around,” Burton said. “There were people riding bikes past him. He was in his own world enjoying the sunshine.”

Just like the passersby, Burton could not believed her eyes when realizing a lynx was actually strutting down her street. Thankfully she find the nerve to take her cellphone and grab some snaps of the beautiful kitten.

“I have never seen one in real life, ever,” the woman told THE DODO. “I was so excited and in awe just to see this gorgeous creature walking so close to my home. It was just so majestic and happy to be in its own little world, doing its own thing.”

Apparently lynx sights are pretty common among the Kamloops residents, with several reports this year, already.

Coming across a family of wild cats when you step outside your house in the morning isn’t the kind of situation you easily deal with. But things may change a little bit if you live a few steps away from the Sonoran Desert in Arizona.

Kate Smith from Mesa, has recently shared an adorable snap on Twitter to show the world how her front porch looks like. The now viral photo shows a mother bobcat and her two cubs peacefully taking a nap on the woman’s property. Waking up with such a lovely sight can only be pleasing, but Kate says the uninvited guests are already there for nearly a month now and they don’t look like they are about to leave any time soon.

“These guys have been here for a month,” Smith told to Daily Mesa News. “I was told that once the boys are old enough to hunt alone they should move on, but they have been here for a while.”

The woman initially called the Arizona Game and Fish Department and asked for help, but according the officials transporting bobcats can be pretty dangerous for the animals. So for the love she cares for wildlife, Kate eventually accepted her guests (no rent required). She can only hope that one day, the adorable cats will leave her porch.

“The answer they gave me was that if you took them out of their territory, they usually don’t survive, so I said, ‘Oh, forget it,” the woman said. “I have a sign in the driveway for the delivery people to tell them not to come into our yard. All the neighbors and family know that they shouldn’t come to the front door. Our dog is grounded at this point.”

Although they share the same porch, the wildlife officials warned Kate to not get to close to the bobcats as they may get uncomfortable and that could make them aggressive. “Everyone says, ‘Oh my god, give them water,’ but deer and fish told me not to give them water because they didn’t want them to be comfortable,” Kate said.

This woman in Santa Fe, New Mexico also woke up with a lovely bobcat family who comfortably took over her porch. She even recored them. Watch them bellow:

With temperatures over 86°F, Lake Tahoe was assaulted over the weekend by lots of people decided to cool off. But on Sunday, some of them got a very unexpected surprise: a mother black bear and her three young cubs, decided to to join them. It sounds really crazy, I know, and some of the swimmers couldn’t believe their eyes. Yet, considering their thick furry coat it is pretty easy to understand the reason behind their decision.

Just like everybody else, the family of bears decided to take their day off and have fun at the beach as they have been seen taking dips multiple times during that day. One of the beachgoers – Jen Watkins initially spotted the bears at the Pope Beach. She even captured the moment on camera. The four-legged visitor have been seen casually walking on the beach without being bothered by the large number of people. They had a small incident with a dog, though.

“We were all a little shocked,” Jen told KCRA News.”I guess (the bear) had been out earlier… It had gotten a little bit unfriendly, protective of the cubs with a golden retriever.”

Black bear sights are very common on the beaches of Lake Tahoe, even during the summer days when the lake is pretty crowded. But judging by the large bear population that live in California – 25,000 to 35,000 individual – it might be a common sight.

Even though this time, no one was harmed and the bears family peacefully walked away when they got tired of swimming, wildlife officials warn people to stay vigilant when around wild animals, because they can be extremely dangerous.

“Don’t feed them, don’t entice them, don’t provoke them and obviously in a setting like this,” Lieutenant Nelson Resendes with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said. “Don’t approach them and most important respect their space.”

Last year, another mother bear, with only two cubs that time, have been filmed cooling off in Lake Tahoe. The moment went viral. You can watch it bellow!

While the vast majority of people have to visit a park or even the forest, to admire wild animals, this lucky guy in Germany had the sweetest encounter with a bunch of cute rodents, just outside his window. Apparently, a family of squirrels turned one the house’s windowsills into their nest.

It all started a couple of months ago, when Ludwig Timm noticed all sort of leaves, little branches and other things on the windowsill of the bathroom. He initially though that the wind might be cause, but he then realized it was more than that. It turned out to be a very elaborate project.

“We initially noticed a few small twigs that were lying on the windowsill,” the man told THE DODO. “Shortly after we saw the squirrels building.”

Since Timm is a big fab of wildlife photography, to guest a squirrel family so close to his camera sound like a rare opportunity. Observing the tiny creature building a family just outside his window was like a dream came true for Timm. So naturally he grabbed countless of snaps with his unusual visitors.

Squirrels are very cute and extremely photogenic, but among the thousands of photos Timm captured, one is his favorite. One morning he woke up earlier and he went to check how the tiny family is doing. Surprisingly, they were all napping in the most heartwarming fashion. Timm rushed to capture the moment on his camera and the result was nothing short of adorable.

“It was very lucky for me to be able to take the photo of them sleeping,” Timm says. “Normally they’re inside the nest, but it was hot that day, so they slept where I could see them.”

An amateur photographer from Odisha, India, was lucky enough to stumble across a super rare black tiger last week.

Soumen Bajpayee, the photographer, managed to capture the magnificent creature in a series of amazing photos.

This black tiger is just one of six that are thought to exist in the whole world!

They are only found in the jungles of Odisha in India and are on the verge of extinction.

The black tigers are actually smaller than traditional Bengal tigers and tend not to survive for as long in the wild due to their colour causing them a lack of camouflage.

Bajpayee, a 27-year-old student of Masters in Technology from Kolkata in West Bengal, was on a visit to the sanctuary when he saw the tiger, having been watching birds and monkeys.

He said: “I was surprised and felt fortunate to have seen the tiger.”

“I was watching various birds and monkeys in the trees when I suddenly saw something which looked like a tiger but not like a usual tiger. Back then I didn’t have any idea about Melanistic Tigers.”

“Then suddenly it appeared from the woods, stayed for few seconds and walked back behind the trees.”

Moyo was saved from drowning while trying to cross a flooded river when she was only a few days old. She was also abandoned by her pack but, luckily, rangers found her just as a pack of hyenas had surrounded her. The hero rangers took Moyo to the ‘Wild Is Life’ sanctuary, whose founder Roxy Danckwerts became the orphan’s new mom.

Now, Moyo who is 14 months old, follows Roxy everywhere she goes.” She knows my voice, my smell and somehow knows where I am at all times,” said Roxy. “How, I have no idea!” It’s getting trickier with time because Moyo keeps getting bigger and her raids around the house are more difficult to handle.

“She is one of those animals with whom I have formed an extraordinary bond of friendship, trust and love,” said Danckwerts. ” Letting go will be hard. However, I am so determined and so sure of this road that I have chosen. I want the best for the elephant children, and that best is freedom to roam and to make their own choices.”

Luckily, the rangers came just in time and took her to the Wild Is Life sanctuary, whose founder Roxy Danckwerts became the orphan’s new mom

Now, Moyo who is 14 months old, follows Roxy everywhere she goes, but she’s not aware of how big she has grown…

Or even how strong she is…

Or that silver spoons should not be eaten…

But her curiosity wins hands down as she continues her mischievous raids around the house

A happy ending story for a lonely baby fox found in a homeowner’s garden. The cute little thing was sad and crying when a group of rescuers saved him. Thankfully, he was eventually reunited with his mother!

When this family in Virginia, spotted a baby fox all by itself in their backyard, they immediately realized something might be wrong. The fox was looking very confused, so they called the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, to ask for help.

“Last night, a local homeowner heard a tiny cry coming from their garden and discovered this baby fox, alone and crying for his mother,” the Animal Welfare wrote in a Facebook post. “They called us right away!”

Shortly after, Sgt. Ballena and Officer Elpers arrived at the scenes. After inspecting the baby fox, the two were happy to see he was a pretty good shape. “Thankfully he was alert, hydrated, and had a full belly,” they later wrote on Facebook.

Since a baby fox’s chances of survival, without its mom are very slim, the two rescuer knew they had to find a way to reunite them. They were pretty sure the mother fox was around, so they came out with the perfect solution! The placed the baby into a basket in a way the mother could easily reached him, and then left the basket in the same spot the baby was found. Meantime, the homeowner kept an eye on it!

Thankfully, the next morning everyone was so happy to find the pair was reunited! This happy ending would not have been possible if it wasn’t the rescuers’ smart thinking. The two officers are heroes!
