Exciting Update for Animal Enthusiasts: Toledo Zoo Celebrates Arrival of Two Polar Bear Cubs Following a Decade-long Anticipation

Polar bears had two adorable cubs Saturday was a joyful day. 

The Toledo zoo declared, that two polar bear cubs were delivered for the first time since 2012. 

These two sweeties were born on December 1. Their mother is named Crystal and father is Nuka. The zoo also wrote, that the cubs gender couldn’t be known yet.
The cubs couldn’t be seen now. According to the zoo people will see them only in spring 2023. 

But they are showing the happy family’s video from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. every day. 

Crystal and Nuka were mated to preserve their genetic diversity in the population. 

The babies are now small, but they will be huge bears when they grow up. Male polar bear weighs from 800 to 1300 pounds and female weighs from 300 to 700.
The International Union for the Conservation of Nature wrote, that polar bears are vulnerable. Their population is decreasing because of climate change and their habitat loss.
