Black bears are enormous. These massive creatures can heigh up to 6 feet tall and weigh around 400-600 pounds. So an encounter with such a large wild animal it’s not the kind of wish you put on your bucket list. But this biologist in Florida proved the love for the wildlife can help you to go beyond this fear, after he rescued a massive black bear from drowning.

While black bears are very common in North America, it’s pretty easy to understand why people got panic when spotted one in Florida. This 400-pound bear, driven by its incredible sense of smell, ended up in a residential neighborhood in Alligator Point, Florida. Once he got there, the bear started to dig into the residents garbage. But, it didn’t take too long until the scared people alerted the authorities.

Within minutes, the wildlife officials arrived at the scene. They tried to tranquillize the animal in order to take him back in the woods. However, things went terrible wrong!

After getting hit by the tranquilizer dart, the bear got panic and headed straight to the ocean. He eventually, went into the water – not the smartest move for a sedated animal. Fortunately, Adam Warwick, a biologist with the Wildlife Commission did not intend to stand there and watch. So he jumped into the ocean, in a risky attempt to save the bear.

So, imagine swimming around 75 feet with a 400lb bear to shore. It has to be a really difficult challenge. A dramatic rescue that this hero fully completed it. After some incredible hard moments, Adam managed to drag the bear out of the water.

Needless to mention the rescue could have turned into something catastrophic for both the animal and Adam. However, while the bear made it unharmed, Adam got a few scratches.

In the end, the black bear made its way back into the Osceola National Forest, where its home was. All thanks to this brave man. Thank you Adam!

Melanie worked with Seal Rescue Ireland as the executive director. She got a call from someone working at an aquaculture farm one day, saying that a young seal named Ili Pika was stranded on top of an oyster trestle bed. Due to the heavy machinery in the region, the mother seal was unable to save the infant.

The young seal was therefore rescued and transported to the Seal Rescue Care Center. She was always looking for her mother and suckling on the glass window enclosure, as any newborn seal would. That’s how they got the milk. Ili Pika was missing her mother, and this was a sign of that. As a result, her caregiver, Hayleigh, gifted her with a wetsuit.

The garment was made up of repurposed wetsuits that had been stuffed together. She nestled into the wetsuit mom since it resembled the newborn seal’s mother. The caregiver’s ultimate goal was to get her healthy and to the proper weight so that she could be released into the wild and thrive like any other seal.

Hayleigh began tutoring her. The newborn seal was fed by the caregiver, who poured fish into her bathtub. Ili Pika astounded the caregivers by becoming the world’s tiniest seal to eat fish. The calm newborn seal soon settled down and demonstrated her tenacity to everyone.

Ili Pika had to be avoided at all costs. She was adamant about not letting anyone near her bathtub. When Hayleigh was cleaning the tub, she kept hitting the brush and then growled and spit on her to express how irritated she was. This, however, was the wish of the caregivers. They wanted to get her ready for life in the wild.

Hayleigh and her crew were now confident that Ili Pika could join the other seals in the pool. So Ili Pika relocated to the rock pool and joined the other seals in care over a month later. She dashed out the door and into the sea. She made eye contact with another seal and exchanged a few words with him. Baby seals learn social cues in the pool in order to build muscles and compete against one another.

Ili Pika began to thrive. A seal’s ideal weight was 30 kilograms, yet she gained 2 to 3 kilograms per week. Ili Pika will be ready for the wild once she reached 30 kgs. The baby seal’s condition improved, and her carer, Hayleigh, expected the aggressive seal to return to the ocean shortly. Other seals in care, meantime, were getting ready to return to the wild. The seals embraced nature and cheerfully returned to their native home as soon as they were released.

This is the adorable moment when a mama bear and her two cubs are gleefully enjoying playtime with a hammock a woman set up for them.

Bertha the mama bear and her two cubs were always seen hanging around in Amy’s yard.

She was surprised at first, but then she decided to start leaving things for the cubs to play with.

It all started with a ball that the cubs seem to love, even while playing with it, the mama bear made sure to keep a close on them.

Then Amy thought of something they can all play with, and so she bought a hammock and quickly installed it in her garden.

She then returned home and waited to see what the bears would do and if they would even be able to work out how to use the hammock.

To her surprise, they put the hammock to good use, so she recorded the encounter and put it up online for everyone’s pleasure.

This is the adorable moment a sun-loving hippo was pictured laying on its back, seemingly in an attempt to tan its bright pink belly.

The hippo was lounging around in the water with its legs in the air while it was making the best of the good weather.

52-year-old photographer Jackie Cilliers captured the bizarre scene at the Kruger National Park in South Africa while on holiday.

Initially, Cilliers thought that the animal may be injured, but soon found out that it was just chilling out in the water while enjoying the sun.

“The images show the hippo pushing off his friend, rolling over, relaxing on his back, and yawning,” said Jackie.

“The hippo risked being attacked by its mate whom it kept pushing on to turn over.”

“At first I thought that it might be injured or ill, but it happened several times and remained stationary on its back for several minutes at a time.”

“It seemed to enjoy being upside down. I was surprised and pleased with the images, as were the others in the hide, several people were chuckling at the antics.”

“What I love most is his pink tummy. I doubt I will ever see this again as it is the first time I or anyone I know has seen this.”

Human being outlive most animals! However, there are still some exceptions and tortoises are one of them. Believe it or not, these reptiles are able to reach up centenary ages. So, today we introduce you a nearly two centuries old fella!

Meet Jonathan a 187-year-old giant tortoise who’s currently the oldest living terrestrial animal in the entire world. Jonathan who currently lives in the Island of Saint Helena, Seychelles, and resides with the governor at the Plantation House is hatched back in 1832.

The most interesting fact about this reptile is  that it was even captures on camera more than a century ago. The first photo of Jonathan was taken in 1886. Therefore, it is really awesome to ages have passed over him with no impact on its looking. Needless to say  that the tortoise was already around 54 years old when that photo was taken.

Jonathan is still full of energy and acts as a youngster. But, despite all of these, the doctors have noticed sings of ageing. According to them, his sense of sight and smell are getting weaker. Therefore, to keep his shape on, Jonathan has a very strict diet. Dr. Hollins feeds him with special food with higher calories on a weekly basis he doesn’t eat enough grass anymore.

In this adorable video, Siberian Husky dad Dash is extremely happy to meet his nine puppies. The proud dad plays and bonds with the 6-week-old puppies while husky mom, Kitana, and human mom, Felisha makes sure everyone plays safe.

Felisha mentions that this was Kitana’s first and last litter, and both Kitana and Dash were desexed shortly after.

Watching Dash play, it’s clear that dad is really the big kid in the family!
